Our Special
International Student Services
(our school class services - S services) have
always been an important part of IPF. Many
teachers join their classes year after year;
each year also sees many new schools participating.
The world must surely be enriched as friendship
and knowledge grows through the pen friend
hobby!
Every class has a story to tell and
we would love to hear them! We will be dedicating
a section in each edition of People &
Places for teachers/group leaders to share
the pen friend journeys of their classes with
readers. This can include details regarding
individual student or class experiences, photos,
drawings, class assignments, etc. It could
even be a photo of the class and why the pen
friend hobby is appealing to them, or why
they decided to join IPF.
A prize of US$100*
will be awarded to the school of the teacher/group
leader whose story is published in each edition.
The aim of the
prize is to help schools in their fund-raising
for reading and literacy programmes, purchase
of library books, etc. |
|
*(We will advise
the teacher/group leader of the prize and
the school will need to send IPF Head Office,
address shown opposite, an invoice on school
letterhead for the prize to be paid.)
To be eligible for the prize, the teacher/group
leader must have joined a class/group into
IPF during the previous 12 months of submitting
the item for possible publication.
We look
forward to hearing from teachers and group
leaders - Write Around the World!
Teachers/Group Leaders: please send your
item together with your full name and the
full name and address of your school to:
